Clarissa Pinkola Estes was the person who popularized the Wild Woman archetype and her book Women Who Run With The Wolves inspired the idea to create the Wild Woman Oracle.
The oracle deck is written for women primarily between the ages of 27-45. At around 27 years old, all people begin to go through their Saturn return, which is when the planet of discipline, structure, hard work, and difficulty returns to the exact place it was at the moment of our birth. If we are not aligned with our truth or true spiritual path/purpose, Saturn will put hardship in our way in order to wake us up and get us back on track. In this way, we begin the process of being ""reborn"", hopefully as a more authentic, fulfilled version of ourselves.
