There are 78 cards within a tarot deck. The deck has 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana Cards. Major arcana cards represent major life events, archetypes, and monumental spiritual lessons. The Minor Arcana cards, on the other hand, represent everyday situations, challenges, and experiences. These are split into four suits (Cups, Pentacles, Swords, and Wands), 10 numbered cards (Ace through 10) and 4 court cards (Page, Knight, Queen, and King) per suit.
