Tony Mott arrived in Australia in 1976 and has become Australia's leading Rock Photographer. His photos have been published in 20 countries and they have appeared on the covers of 450 CDs and more than 700 magazines.
In the early ’80s Tony Moulds was a professional French chief, cooking in The Gazebo Hotel kitchen in Sydney. Dubbed ‘Mott’ for his thrashing of UK rockers Mott the Hoople, he snapped The Divinyls’ Chrissy Amphlett at The Piccadilly Hotel in Kings Cross.
Tony Mott has photographed some of the biggest names in music. He tells Amanda Keenan it may only be rock ’n’ roll but he loves it. Some people horde teapots; others accumulate rare coins or first-edition books.
