Who is Rockpool Publishing?

Rockpool Publishing is an Australian owned publisher, specialising in spirit & wellness books, oracle cards, gifts & journals.  Trade distribution for English language is managed by Simon & Schuster in the US, UK, Europe, ANZ and by Rockpool in Asia.  

Rockpool Publishing is the owner of imprints Love & Write Publishing and Gelding Street Press.

Why the name Rockpool Publishing?

The team all love water; we feel that the name denotes calmness, serenity, a community that is niche, happy but safe among bigger seas. A self sufficient, stable ecosystem.

Who owns Rockpool Publishing?

Rockpool is a privately owned and operated business run by Lisa Hanrahan and Paul Dennett.

Lisa Hanrahan

Lisa looks after all publishing decisions including title selection, production, distribution and rights managers. Outside of Rockpool, Lisa was a former Director at Australian Publishers Association and led the Independent Publishers Committee.  Lisa is a founding member of Rockpool Publishing and has worked in the publishing industry for 30 years, previously as the head of Production for Random House Australia for 10 years and prior to this at Sally Milner Publishing.  Lisa attended UTS and Macquarie University - Graduate School of Business and has a Bachelor of Business, majoring in accounting and Grad Dip in Management. 

Paul Dennett

Paul is responsible for all operations, marketing, events and overseas sales.  Paul was an original partner in Rockpool and has worked in various multinational publishing and software businesses for the last 30 years.  Paul attended Macquarie University - Graduate School of Business, and Wollongong University and has a Masters in Management and a Bachelor of IT.
